Join farmer and dye plant grower Laurie Hall and myself at Bluebird Dye Gardens on Saturday, October 1st for a natural dye workshop using flowers that Laurie grows in her dye garden. Located on Laurie and Rusty Hall’s beautiful Seven Meadow Farms in Mancos, Colorado, we’ll be surrounded by the stunning landscape of the La Plata Mountains, just a few miles from Mesa Verde National Park.

The 3 hour workshop will include the following:

• Tour of the dye garden and instruction on how to grow and use flowers to dye fabric using bundle dyeing techniques.

• Instruction on how to prepare fabric for dyeing using different mordanting methods. You will dye your own silk scarf to take home.

• A farm fresh lunch.

All supplies and materials will be provided.
