I am offering this 2-1/2 hour afternoon workshop in Florence, Alabama, at the beautiful studio of Abraham and Susan Rowe. I will introduce you to stitching, mending and patching techniques, and assist you in the repair of your well-loved denim garment. The simple practice of mending not only extends the life of your clothes, it is a lovely way to spend an afternoon amongst friends!

Tea, coffee, and an assortment of delightful snacks will be served.

Please bring one garment for mending - all other materials will be provided. I strongly recommend that you bring a garment with a hole, or distressed area, that is less than 2 inches wide and long. It is best to learn mending on a smaller area, and then, as you feel more confidant in your skills, move on to larger repairs.

Note: You are welcome to bring patching material of your choice; I will be providing fabric patches for those that don’t bring their own.
