Learn the basics of macramé while making an attractive wall hanging with the option to dip dye your piece in  an indigo dye vat.

In this 4 hour workshop Tara will give you the basics of the macramé process. You will learn the process of cutting and tying off your cords, attaching them to your frame, and creating a unique work of art by using only two types of knots.

You will have the option to dip dye the bottom half of your piece, once you have finished. 

This workshop is a beginner level class to introduce you to macramé.  No previous experience is necessary.

About the artist:
A self-proclaimed “Sybil” of the arts, Tara is a sculptor, painter, writer, decorator, landscaper, hair-cutter, and freelance stylist with a Master’s Degree from Memphis College of Art. After sojourns in Tuscaloosa, Innsbruck, Los Angeles, and Memphis, Tara put down permanent roots in Florence, Alabama in 2004. She shares her home with two dogs, a cat, and two-decades’ worth of very-much-for-sale artwork.

Workshop fee includes :

Coffee, tea and cold beverages and a light lunch.

All materials, tools and supplies will be provided, but please bring a waterproof bag to take home your piece, if you decide to dye the bottom half.
