Nadene was introduced to natural dyeing at the Idyllwild School of Music and the Arts – where she spent her childhood summers. She picked up her interest in plant dyes again when she moved to Florence, Alabama in 2012. First using indigo dye on her Idyllwilde clothing and housewares collection, Nadene’s dye practice grew to include local dye plants, and plant extracts. The Idyllwilde studio and shop are dedicated to her love of plants and all living things.
